    2 Methods To Make Starch Free Rice Without Starch Rice | Starch Free Rice | Without Starch Rice Recipe 

    Hi friends,!!!! Today my post is about "2 Methods To Make Starch Free Rice | Without Starch Rice". It is very helpful recipe for those who do not want to load their body unnecessary fat from starch. It is just perfect recipe for Diabetics, Heart Patients and even for you and me. 
                            The people over Bihar & Jharkhand use to make starch free rice at their home. This is a traditional way of making rice over here. This is a very healthy way of making rice, where you do not overload your body with extra calories of rice. The fat and calories of rice get out using starch.
                 I will tell you here two methods of making starch free rice at home. You can pick any method as per your ease of use. Before this I have also posted Starch Free No Oil Pulao Recipe.

    Steps

    SOAK RICE

    If you are using Basmati rice then soak it for 15 to 20 minutes or as per written instruction on Basmati Packet. If you are not using basmati rice, then there is no need to soak it.

    BOIL WATER

    In a big pan, start boiling water.

    ADD RICE

    Add the rice and salt , when water starts boiling. Do it carefully. Stir well.

    2 METHODS TO COOK

    1st Method- Let the rice and water boil on the high flame.

    2nd Method- When water and rice starts boiling then cover the pan with lid, but do not cover it completely. Cover it only 95 %, then reduce the flame to low. Keep in mind that, the water and rice must boil properly, if not so increase the flame a little bit.
    I use the 2nd method to cook Rice because it saves the use of gas.

    CHECK

    After 15 minutes check the rice. You have to cook it only 90%. If it is not cooked, then cook it for more minutes.

    ADD LEMON JUICE

    If your rice is 90% cooked, then add lemon juice or white vinegar. I will suggest you to use these sour ingredients only when, your rice becomes yellow and sticky after getting cooked, else do not use it. Sour ingredients reduces the life of cooked rice.

    SWITCH OFF

    Mix well and switch off the flame.

    2 METHODS TO DRAIN STARCH

    1st Method- Cover the pan with lid, but not completely. Slightly uncover the pan, so that the starch can go out but rice can not. Now with the help of a cloth hold the pot using your both hand and pour the starch into another pan.

    2nd Method- Simply pour the cooked rice with starch on a big sieve and sieve it properly. Now, transfer it to the same pan or different one.

    LEAVE FOR 2 MINUTES

    Now cover the pan with lid, not completely. Let it open a little bit. Keep it aside for 2 minutes. No matter which process you used, you have to do it in both process.

    SERVE

    Your Rice Without Starch is ready to serve, but if you are not going to serve it immediately, then cover the pan with lid completely.

    TIPS

    . Never cook rice more than 90%, else it will be sticky.
    . If you are new, then use the 1st method to cook rice and 2nd method to drain starch.
