Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
For Dhokla
1 cup (use 250 gm cup to measure) Semolina (suji/rava)
1 cup (use 250 gm cup to measure) Curd (dahi)
1 tsp Salt
3 tbsp Sugar
1 tsp chopped Green Chilies
1/2 tsp Ginger Paste
as needed Water
1 tbsp Oil
1/2 tbsp (1 pouch) Eno
For Chock
3 tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp Asafoiteda
1 tsp Red Mustard Seeds (rai/sarso)
Green Chilies
8 Kadhi Patta

    Today, My post is all about a very popular Gujrati Recipe "Rava Dhokla Recipe | Suji Dhokla Recipe ". This is just favourite of everyone. Soft, sponge, sweet and a little bit sour in taste with the aromatic blend of mustard seeds, curry leaves and hing. There is a spice of green chili also. Overall, just a perfect recipe, which has all the taste of the world. 
                  The best part of the recipe is the less use of oil. Unlike, Besan Ka Dhokla, it needs very less oil to get cooked, hence it is first choice of diabetics and heart patients also.

    Steps

    ADD ALL

    In a bowl mix all the ingredients of dhokla except eno and water.

    MIX WELL

    Mix all and keep it aside for 30 minutes. Do not forget to cover it.

    ADD WATER

    After 30 minutes. Add water to it. You have to make idli like batter. so add water little by little. Your batter may need less or more water.

    ADD ENO

    Now, add eno to it and mix well.

    POUR

    Pour into a greased mould.

    STEAM

    Steam dhokla on high flame for 10 minutes.

    CHECK

    After, 10 minutes insert a toothpick in dhokla and if it comes out clean, then your dhokla is cooked properly, else cook it for more minutes. There is more more hint. If your dhokla looks dry from upside then, understand, that it is done.

    TAKE OUT

    Let the dhokla cool it self then take out dhokla from mold.

    CUT

    Cut dhokla into desire shape and size.

    MAKE CHOCK

    Now, in a pan heat oil and add all the ingredients of chock. Temper and immediately spread on the dhokla.

    TIPS

    . Garnish with coriander leaves.
    . Adjust salt and sugar as per your taste.
