Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 cup (use 100 gm cup) Poha (beaten rice)
1 cup (use 100 gm cup) Besan (chickpea flour)
1/4 cups or more (use 100 gm cup) Roasted Mungfali (peanuts)
a little bit less than 1/2 cup (use 100 gm cup) Water
1 tsp or as per taste Salt
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder
1 to 2 Chopped Green Chilies
a big pinch Dry Fenugreek Leaves (kasoori methi patti)
1 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
1/4 tsp Asafetida (hing)
1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
a big pinch Ajwaine (carom)
2 tbsp Chopped Onion
1/4 tsp Chat Masala

Poha Mungfali Pakoda Recipe...but this pakoda will never become soft even after 3 to 4 hours of deep frying it. You need Poha, besan, Mungfali....

    Poha Mungfali Pakoda is an amazing pakoda recipe to enjoy in rainy season. It is very crispy and crunchy pakoda as compare to any other pakoda. You must have noticed, that pakoda becomes soft after cooling down to room temperature, but this pakoda will never become soft even after 3 to 4 hours of deep frying it. 
                         Yesterday, I made it as an evening snacks. My hubby returned very late from office. Me and my pakoda were waiting for him for 2 hours.  😥 He came very late. I saw my pakoda, it was still as crunchy and crispy as it was before 2 hours. I was very happy to see it. I served it to my hubby. He liked it. It is a necessary to mention that, he Hates pakora, but he liked it. He liked the crispiness and nutty falvour of pakoda.  🙂 It satisfied me a lot. You know, it is very heard to match his taste level. This taste level always encourage me to develop new and tasty recipe.

    WASH POHA

    At first wash poha and keep it aside to drain water.

    MIX

    In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except poha and water.

    ADD POHA

    Now, add poha to it and mix.
    See, if your poha has not become soft than wait for few minutes and then only add it.

    ADD WATER

    Now, add water to it.

    MAKE DOUGH

    Make dough from it. Press poha softly to make a perfect dough, but do not mash poha completely.

    THE TEXTURE OF DOUGH

    The dough should not very tight or very soft.

    DEEP FRY

    Now, slip small - small amount of pakoda dough into the hot oil and make it brown on the medium flame only.

    STIR

    Stir pakoda in between.

    MAKE GOLDEN BROWN

    Make pakoda golden brown on the medium flame only. In this way deep fry all pakoda.

    Yours Poha Mungfali Pakoda is ready to serve. Sprinkle some black salt and chaat masal to it before serving.

    TIPS

    You can add mint leaves also to enhance the taste.
